October--Second Semester Examination

         25th October 2017, I sat for my second semester examination. I didn't put many effort to prepare my English and Biology. So, I don't think that I will get the flying colors in my English and Biology exam paper. I just hope that I will pass it.


         After the examination, I have got my English exam paper. I have got 64 marks. My essay just get 11.5 marks and my summary get 10 marks. My paper 2 just get 42 marks. If I study harder, I may get the higher mark.😢😢 I should practice my essay or I may get the lower mark than this time.😂😂


         My language isn't good enough. I should do more practice or I can speak in English with my friends. I also can ask my friends, such as Howard and Vincy when I am confused with somethings. My tuition teacher has told me that I can listen to some English song as the grammar and vocabulary in some English song is good and easier to learn.

       

September--story summary

         20th September , my teacher has gave us a summary to do. It is story summary that we didn't touch it before. I felt that it is difficult to do as I didn't understand the topic!😢😢Because I couldn't understand the topic, I couldn't find out the points from the passage. But after I had read this passage, I understand what is the passage talking about. So, I started to do my summary.

         The next day, 21st September, my teacher let us to mark our friend summary, just mark for the point. I just got 3and half marks.😅😂

          The main reason for me why I get  low marks in this summary is my vocabulary isn't enough. Other than that , my comprehension is a little bit low. I should do more exercise......😞😟

August--fairy tail

          August, before the school holiday, my teacher has given us a holiday work, a fairy tail. We need to think or revise a new fairy tail and perform it in September, after school holiday.This time , we won't in the group that we usually are, teacher will distribute us into 6 group .

        
           Our group's fairy tail topic is Snow White. Since ancient times, the prince always go to save the princess and they will live happily forever. So, this time, in our fairy tail, Snow White will go and save the prince.Then, the queen will die with everyone. In the end of the story, there isn't anyone survive.

              It is such a funny work and you can make more friends when you work with someone that you have never know about him or her.In this work , you can open your mind and talk what you have think about. From this , you can practise your speaking and learn about team spirit.

      

July--Five Short Plays- The Robbery

        Wednesday, 26/7, my teacher had given us a project, we need to perform a short plays which chose in a book name "Five Short Plays". Each group has 5 to 6 person. My group has 6 person, they are Angie, Ern Huey, Xin Yuee, Chloe, Hui Ru and I. We have chosen a short plays name "The Robbery".

         

Robbery is talking about a group of five friends are fed up as they have not any money. But this is all going to change soon. One of the group,Harry has a plan to rob a bank.But the two guys which are inside the bank and normally have to take the money from the bank, have go into the wrong building! They have go into a library!Then, they get three books and go away.

          The robbery is a very funny short plays, when we are rehearsal , we always laugh out loud. From this rehearsal, we can learn to work together and be closer than before. When we are performing, we can learn how to strain.

          Perform a short play is a good idea to improve our speaking too. It can help us much.

June--The Charge of the Light Brigade

           The Charge of the Light Brigade is a poem that written by Alfred, a British. He born on August 6, 1809 and died on October 6, 1892. He was born into a middle class family and studied in Cambridge.

            The Charge of the Light Brigade is talking about 600 soldiers were moving towards to the battlefield and their commander had given the wrong command . Although the commander had given the wrong command, the soldiers also followed the command.

         
             I think the soldiers are brave. They knew that they might die in the battlefield, but they also moved through the battlefield. They wanted to protect their country, their home, their family. But, they are blind faithful. As the commander had given the wrong command, they also followed the command. We should be faithful to our country, our commander, but we shouldn't be faithful in blind. Not every command that given by commander is right, we should think whether the command is right or not, then we can follow it.

Reflection-May

My school has just had first semester examination.Yesterday,my teacher has returned back our English exam paper. My English paper 1 just got 19.5 marks from 40 marks and my English paper 2 got 48.5 marks from 60 marks.My total marks are 68 marks. Actually, I am not happy with this mark.😢I thought that I can get 70 marks or above.

My essay and summary is too weak.I should do more practices on summary and write more essays. I should learn more vocabulary to improve my essay. Other than that, I should think more ideas to let my essay is look like that have many things to read and it is enough interesting. For my paper 2, my weakness part is grammar. I have to do some practices on grammar or I can ask my friends and teacher. I can also write some essays and ask my teacher to check. I can read more books or other people's essay.👍👍😃😃

Reflection-PBL

At month of April,my class has just done our first PBL of this year.We have used 1 week to finish it. I feel that some game is boring but some games is interesting.









For this PBL,I felt that people are full of imagination.How can they think out so interesting game?After I saw others work, I felt that I was too weak in imagination and my action force is weak too.

I didn't use my time wisely too.At first, I do the PBL in high speed,after a  few weeks, I started become lazy and didn't want to do it. So, before a few days to start presentation, my group members and I do the tool of the game in a hurry.












If I have PBL in the next time, I will take my time.

Killer King

     Before March holiday, my teacher,Ms Tina have given us a project. We need to create a game that can use to learn or do the revision on grammar or vocabulary in unit 1 to unit 4. We can be 3 or 4 in a group or do it individual. My group have 3 person, that is me, Ern Huey and Xin Yuee.We have many idea for this project, such as scrabble, snake chess and card.At the last, we have chosen Killer King.
                                                                                     

From this game,
students will be able to understand the vocabulary that they have learned from unit 1,2,3,4.


How to play our game?

01.Get at lease 5 person(1killer,1police ,others are civilian) to play the game.

02.Everyone will get a piece of card with their identities written on it eg : killer ,police or civilian and a vocabulary but killer`s vocabulary is different from the others.

03. Everyone must describe their vocabulary that they get one by one.

04. Police must find out who is the killer but he only have one chance, he or she can find killer out by find out the different description of the vocabulary .

05. When the police find out the killer, it’s the end of the game.

06.If killer win, killer will get a surprise gift.

07.If police win, police and civilian will get a surprise gift too.

In the schedule, we must finish our video in the last week.But my group haven't done it as we are so lazy. We can't continue lazy or we may not pass up our work by time.We must be hard-working. We will try to finish our video in one week, after finish the video, we will go and do the tool that we need to present our game and let student play the game.We will list out the vocabulary that we need in this game too.
